The Tetra Air Pump Kit provides vital oxygen to backyard ponds. It offers a wintertime survival solution for ponds in freezing temperatures. This kit includes 30 feet of air tubing, along with air stones, porous objects that gradually give off small bubbles to increase the oxygen in the water. The air pump takes in air, then air is compressed and delivered from the pump unit. Compressed air comes out of the air stones located in the pond to add beneficial oxygen. This equipment comes with a 1-year limited warranty (see product packaging for details). The Tetra Air Pump Kit is for outdoor use in ponds up to 5,000 gallons and provides 100 GPH flow capacity. Pond aeration helps maintain clear water, helps improve filter performance, promotes the breakdown of toxic substances and maintains an opening in the ice for proper gas exchange during winter months.
