• FUNCTION - This special wrench is used to remove and install the output shaft 5th gear locknut in NV4500 and NV4500 HD manual transmissions.
• MUST HAVE TOOL - GM 4x4 and NV4500 transmissions have 4 slot nuts on the output side of the mainshaft, which retaining the mainshaft 5th gear. Due to the high torque these nuts are tightened to, it is essential to use the correct wrench to remove and install the mainshaft nut. This wrench is required for all in-vehicle and bench repairs that involve mainshaft service, including mainshaft fifth gear replacement.
